CALL FOR PAPERS

Hellenism in a Globalised World

Taking as the point of departure the recent exploration of multiple “Hellenisms”, the conference seeks to further explore the concept of Hellenism in the globalised world.  The central question is: What does Hellenism mean in the age of globalisation?  This conference aspires to attract scholars from a range of disciplines in order to draw out and discuss issues from discourses in the fields of history, museum studies, literature, arts, gender studies, sciences, musicology and philosophy from antiquity until the present day.

The ultimate purpose of this conference is to generate via dialogue an investigation into different notions of Hellenism, not only diachronically and synchronically but also in relation to the global questions of identity, trans-culturality, inter-culturality and hybridity.
