MGK378 Greek Research Option
The Greek research option provides to individual students with the opportunity of experiencing the process of research and of producing a long essay or a minor thesis. It is open to all students that meet the requirements but it is particularly recommended to students that want to pursue Postgraduate or Honours level studies. Students who choose to do the research option concentrate on a particular topic under the guidance of a staff member of Modern Greek Studies. They will have to report on their progress regularly (on average forthrightly) and write a major essay of 6000 in Greek or 8000 words in English. Topics can be chosen (in consultation with a member of staff) from most fields of Greek culture: Language, Literature, History, Politics, Art, Education, Sport, social issues, etc. It is offered on campus as well as externally.
